  • Oxymel originates from the latin world oxymeli, which refers to acid (oxy) and honey (mel).  Traditionally oxymels are offered as tonic formulas with herbs, apple cider vinegar and raw honey. They are a wonderful alcohol-free way of administering aromatic and mineral rich herbs. Our Bee Balm Oxymel is formulated with red bee balm blossoms harvested fresh mid-summer and then macerated in ACV for a moon cycle.  We then add local raw honey to balance out the tartness and allow the magical flavors of bee balm shine through. Comes in a 4 oz frosted glass bottle.

Ingredients: Organic Raw Apple Cider Vinegar, Raw VT Honey, Fresh Red Bee Balm Flowers (Monarda didyma)

Suggested Use: Take 1-2 tablespoons daily as an immune or nervous system tonic. May be taken straight or added to flat or sparkling water. Try adding to your favorite salad dressing recipe.

    • Red Bee Balm (Monarda didyma): Bee Balm, also called wild bergamot or Oswego tea, is known for its unique flowering structure and blooms of red, pink, purple, or white. Our red bee balm is harvested in peak flower from our abundant perennial gardens. Monarda species are rich in thymol, a volatile oil that is strongly antiseptic and useful for colds, flus, respiratory and oral infections, and gas/bloating. Herbalist Matthew Wood also offers bee balm as a calmative for those who experience anxiety, excessive nervousness, and troubles with identifying one's passions.
