    Heartspace Elixir

    • Hawthorn Berries (Crataegus sp): Traditionally considered a "supreme heart tonic", hawthorn is supportive to cardiovascular vitality and acts as food to the vasculature. The berries are highly antioxidant and also contain vitamin C. Energetically, hawthorn is supportive to a broken heart, and can help facilitate our capacity to make heartfelt connections. 


      Milky Oats (Avena sativa): These unripe seeds of our organic oat crop were hand harvested when in their "milky" stage and immediately tinctured fresh in organic grain alcohol and distilled water. Known as food for the nervous system, Milky Oat tops are powerful allies for protecting and restoring damaged neurons, soothing frazzled nerves, and supporting convalescence. Milky Oats are also deeply nutritive and rich in minerals such as calcium, magnesium, potassium and several trace minerals. 


      Motherwort (Leonarus cardiaca): Indicated for those who need a little "mothering" in their lives, Motherwort is often sought to address embodied panic and anxiety that causes the heart to flutter.  As Nicolas Culpepper described, "There is no better herb to drive melancholy vapours from the heart, to strengthen it and make the mind cheerful, blithe and merry."


      Rose (Rosa canina): A floral nervine euphoriant that is well indicated for energetic and emotional imbalances. Rose offers itself as a powerful ally for softening and opening the heart, while also helping us to create healthy relational boundaries. Rose has a long tradition for grief and anxiety support, and is also a powerful astringent and anti-inflammatory making it a common ingredient in skincare and cardio tonic formulas.


      Tulsi (Ocimum tenuiflorum var. kapoor): Also referred to as "Holy Basil", Tulsi is named for a Hindu goddess and roughly translates to "that which is incomparable".  It is a magically sweet and sacred adaptogen in Ayurveda that assists in modulating the effects of stress while lowering inflammatory load. As a member of the basil family, tulsi is rich in terpenes, such as eugenol, and antioxidant rich polyphenols. The Kapoor variety is particularly saturated with rosmarinic acid, a strong antioxidant, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory constituent.
