Our certified organic St. John's Wort Oil is made with freshly gathered plant material that is slow infused in golden jojoba oil for several weeks. We use a tiny amount of organic cane alcohol in the extraction process to fully extract the therapuetic constituents from the plant material. The resulting ruby red oil is deeply soothing to sore muscles, nerve discomfort, skin irritations, and is offers noticable emotional protection.

St John's Wort Oil (Organic)
St John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum): St John's Wort has recorded medicinal uses dating back over 2000 years. Modernly, it is often thought of for Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), depressive moods, and emotional exhaustion. Topically St John's Wort is notably helpful in inflammatory skin conditions, nerve pain and numbness, burns, wounds, shingles, and cold sores. In 1852, The Eclectic Dispensatory of the United States of America quoted it as being “a fine red balsamic ointment for wounds, ulcers, swellings, tumors, etc.” The oil macerate, or Oleum Hyperici, is also a traditional remedy used in the Balkan Peninusula for burns and skin ulcerations. The bright red to deep crimson hue of the infused oil is indicative of a high quality solar extraction that is beneficial for any home apothecary.
